News & Announcements

The Centex Baseball Game will be played in Jarrell rather than Temple. First Pitch for JV will be at 4:30PM followed by Varsity.
Jarrell Cougars Varsity Soccer Team will face Giddings in the first round of 4A Soccer Playoffs on Thursday, March 26th @ 7:00 PM @ Bastrop Memorial Stadium. Ticket Prices are $4.00 for Adults and $2.00 for Students. TASCO, THSCA and District passes allowed. All Fans will sit on the HOME side of the stadium. Go Big Blue!
One Act Play - March 28th

One Act Play - March 28th Jarrell HS will be performing The Dancers, by Horton Foote, at the District 25AAA HS UIL One Act Play contest.
The contest will be Saturday, March 28th, at the Lago Vista ISD Performing Arts Center ((5185 Lohman Ford Rd.; Lago Vista, TX). The estimated curtain time for Jarrell HS will be 3:00 p.m.

2014-2015 School Calendar Amended
The attached calendar is the amended 14-15 calendar. The early release has been changed from Friday April 10th to Friday, April 3rd. The bad weather make-up day has been changed from Friday, April 3rd to Friday, April 10th.

Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students, 

The 2013-2014 school year promises to be one of the most exciting, challenging and rewarding years of your life. The years that you spend at Jarrell High School will provide you with the tools that, upon graduation, will allow you to move on to the next phases of your lives, confident in your abilities and your educational experiences. 

Jarrell High School is staffed by one of finest group of teachers, counselor, secretaries, paraprofessionals and custodians in the state. They are here to assure that you have every opportunity to excel in all academic areas and achieve the success that you desire. Further, a wide variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities and clubs allow all students to be involved in school outside the academic day. Research shows that increased involvement in school activities is directly attributable to increased academic success. 

I encourage both you and your parents to stay actively involved in your educational career at Jarrell High School and beyond. GOOD LUCK, and have a great year.
