Welcome to Jarrell High School (JHS)!  In my role as principal, I work with supportive families, a strong  community, and dedicated staff that is committed to providing the best education for each Cougar student.  The faculty and staff at Jarrell High School take pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.  The individual needs of students are met through the refinement of research-based educational programs.  Our goal is to aid our students in becoming lifelong, independent learners and respectful citizens.

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

Enrollment for students NEW to Jarrell ISD for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year will begin on Wednesday, 08/10/16 from 8:00 am - 12 pm on each campus.
Enrollment will run daily from 08/10/16 until the start of school with the exception of Friday, 08/12/16 and Thursday, 08/18/16 due to district activities.
****Jarrell High School will also have Enrollment for new high school students only--students that participate any UIL activities on 08/03/16 and 08/04/16 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.
Please bring the following documentation with you to complete the enrollment process:
BIRTH CERTIFICATE (For all student 11 years and younger the official copy must be presented. No copies per state law. No hospital birth certificates are allowed per state law).
SOCIAL SECURITY CARD
SHOT RECORD
DRIVER’S LICENSE OF THE GUARDIAN WHO IS ENROLLING AND SIGNING THE REGISTRATION FORM
PROVIDE PROOF OF RESIDENCY-
*EXAMPLES: CONTRACT ON HOUSE, LEASE AGREEMENT OR UTILITY BILL WITH THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE PARENT, OR CABLE BILL. THE DATE ON ANY OF THE ABOVE CANNOT BE MORE THAN 1 MONTH OLD. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT IF YOUR ADDRESS CHANGES AT ANY POINT DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF RESIDENCY AGAIN.

RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION

Enrollment for RETURNING STUDENTS for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year.

All returning students will be required to attend 1 of the 2 registration sessions offered in order to fill out all documentation required by state law before the start of school. Jarrell ISD continues to offer online registration for returning students to fill out forms online, print, and bring in with them to the registration nights for convenience.

Registration sessions will be held on August 3rd and 8th from 3:00-8:00 pm at Jarrell High School for all returning students PK-12th grade.

All parents will need to bring their Driver’s license for proof of guardianship. The only other documentation that will be required for all returning students is updated proof of residency ONLY if you have had a change of address.

If a student has missing documentation in their permanent file, a letter was sent home to identify what is needed and this documentation will need to be presented at registration. Your student will not be placed in a classroom if their permanent file in not complete.

It is also necessary to attend one of the registration nights in an effort to complete your student’s registration in order for them to be able to attend class when we return for the new school year.

JHS STAAR/EOC Academy

For all JHS Students that did not pass an EOC in the spring, you must attend the STAAR EOC Academy June 27th through the week of July 11th, Monday-Thursday. July 4th, we'll be closed. Please see attached Bus Route for the Academy.

Little Cougar Cheer Camp

Attention all future Cougar Cheerleaders:
The JHS Varsity Cheerleaders will be hosting a little cougar cheer camp at JMS Gym July 25-29 from 8am-12pm. Friday we will have a pep rally to show off our skills at 11:15.
Sign ups will take place at McDonald's in Jarrell from 6-7pm June 23rd and 27th.
Cost for the camp is $50, which includes a daily snack and a Cougar Cheerleader Shirt.
Age 4 and potty trained and up!
