News & Announcements


Representative from Balfour will be meeting with 2015 letter winners for their letterman's jackets during both lunches on Tuesday, October 13th in the High School Cafeteria. Order blanks are available from their coach. The school district pays for the jacket and the student athlete is responsible for any additional patches.


Ingram Tom Moore is the site of the 2015 District Cross Country Meet. The meet will start at 12 noon with the JV Boys first, followed by Varsity Boys, JV Girls, Varsity Girls, 7th Girls/Boys and finishing up with 8th Girls/Boys (MS Boys and Girls run together). The first race starts at 12 and the others follow with 30 minute intervals.

District Improvement Plan

Jarrell Independent School District encourages community members and business representatives to serve on the District Improvement Plan Committee. JHS Open House/Parent Night

JHS will host their Open House/Parent Night on Monday, September 28th from 6-7:30pm in the high school cafeteria. Everyone please come out and visit with your student's teachers and see the new addition at the high school.

Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students, 

This school year promises to be one of the most exciting, challenging and rewarding years of your life. The years that you spend at Jarrell High School will provide you with the tools that, upon graduation, will allow you to move on to the next phases of your lives, confident in your abilities and your educational experiences. 

Jarrell High School is staffed by one of finest group of teachers, counselor, secretaries, paraprofessionals and custodians in the state. They are here to assure that you have every opportunity to excel in all academic areas and achieve the success that you desire. Further, a wide variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities and clubs allow all students to be involved in school outside the academic day. Research shows that increased involvement in school activities is directly attributable to increased academic success. 

I encourage both you and your parents to stay actively involved in your educational career at Jarrell High School and beyond. GOOD LUCK, and have a great year.
